PONTON Conference on 14 September 2023

We are excited about our upcoming PONTON Conference on 14 September 2023. The venue will be the International Maritim Museum of Hamburg, located in a historic dock building in the center of Hamburg.

The conference will kick off on Thursday, 14 September noon with a keynote from Timo Bollerhey of H2Global: “Is hydrogen the future of energy?” Timo and his team have been given a grant of 900 Mio. € from the German government to procure hydrogen to kick-start the H2 supply chain and markets.

Following the keynote, our conference will continue in the Open Space format during the afternoon. Open Space means that the audience turns into active participants, setting the agenda and discussing ideas on developments and new ideas in the energy industry with each other. We have set up three parallel tracks for this discussion:

• No more copper plate: grid-supportive trading vs. capacity constraints
• Closing the digital gap in wholesale energy trading
• New IT technologies for efficient development and operation

After the close of the Open Space conference, the evening program on 14 September will start with a private guided tour of the International Maritime Museum, which houses artefacts from the history of commercial shipping and naval warfare, including rare mini submarines from World War II. This optional tour is followed by dinner and a social event on the top floor of the museum.

On Friday, 15 September, we offer break-out workshops for different client groups. The following workshops and events on Friday are open to all attendees:

• Tour of the German Climate Computing Center (DKRZ) in Hamburg, including their high-performance computing system for predicting climate change.
• Workshop on how to gain business benefits from Agility and Rapid Prototyping, focusing on Low Code, agility as a mindset and lessons learned from real life projects
• Workshop on PONTON Integration Products (Ponton E/A, Ponton X/D, Ponton fCM), covering new developments and discussing the development roadmap

All events on Friday will close by 14:30 latest.
