ANONYMOUS DATA EXCHANGE IN SUPPLY CHAINS

How to de-compose blockchain and re-compose features into central applications

Many expected more from blockchain, e.g., nothing less than turning the energy sector upside down. This didn’t materialise yet. However, there are features such as anonymity that may be also re-used for centralised platforms. In his paper, Michael gives an overview on what we cannot expect from blockchain but in which cases advanced privacy requirmenents can be satisfied. Decomposing blockchain and re-composing parts becomes an exiting exercise this way.

In a recent PONTON project, this appraoch led to an amazing way how sensitive data can be exchanged while even the operator of a centralised data hub cannot see who actually exchanges data with whom.
